What to do with direct TV Dish?

Hello Just purchased a house in northern louisiana and there is a Direct tv dish(18"-30 ") on my house. I'm not subscribing to d-tv, due to poor service in this area--wind , rain, storms. My question is would a be able to hook a technomate receiver up to it and scan around? Are the LNB's/connectors different on the d-tv setup? I'd like to know before I go buying some equipment (dish/lnb). Thanks for the help

The LNB on that dish will only work with DBS. like DirecTV and Dish Network. I've never heard of Technomate, but a quick Google showed it's a receiver used in the UK. Found a forum for it.
Technomate naybe you can find an answer there. I really doubt you can get it to work.
