What should the monthly equipment fee increase be in this scenario?

My mother just got a free Eastern Arc upgrade, replacing her 110/119/61.5 hybrid setup. Before the switch she had a 211 & a 508. They replaced the 508 with a 612 as part of the upgrade(since it wouldn't work on MPEG4 EA). The installer didn't give her any hint of what her new equipment rental would be. To further complicate matters, she pays annually for her programming package and the 211 was picked up before DISH started offering the primary receiver lease fee free. I dealt with executive resolutions a couple of years ago and they claim there's no way to get rid of the lease fee without replacing the 211. They did offer to credit the amount every month, but could only enter a years worth of credits at a time. So believe it or not her monthly bill used to look something like this:

Primary Leased equipment fee - $9
Lease fee credit - ($9)
Secondary receiver Fee (for the 508) - $7

Now that the 508 has been replaced with the 612, will that automatically become the primary receiver? And will that get rid of the need to get the credit every year for the 211, since it now really should be a receiver with a fee? And I also assume she'll now be paying the $6 DVR fee as well? Just trying to fill her in on what to expect before the bill comes.

TIA to one of the Dish reps or anyone one else with some idea.

The receiver with the highest fee would be the primary which is the 612. No need to call
The 211 would be $7 If I remember right....single tuner non DVR is $7
$6 DVR fee for the 612

You could pay a one time $40 fee and add a hard drive to the 211 too.

I hope it works out that way for her. The 612 now shows up in her online account info, but it's listed as "Receiver #2". The 211 is still shown as "Receiver #1". Hopefully that's not how they will bill them.

Its automatic. The most expensive is included in the monthly rate. However, if there is a concern, I can swap receiver numbering for her if she wants to hit me up here or directly.

It should be no problem though. Equipment changes usually correct previous issues like that.

Thanks Tony. I guess I'll wait for her next bill. She loves paying annually but it sure makes it hard to keep track of billing. No HD for Life or STARZ anniversary gift either. Trying to talk her into switching to monthly w/autopay when her year runs out.

I know when my dad upgraded a receiver to a DVR it showed as "receiver 3" yet he got billed right

went from 4 301/311's to a 625 and 3 301/311. The 625 showed as receiver 3 but it was included and he had just the $21 extra fees (3 301 x$7). The 625 is normally $14

Where is your request for a PM with account number or phone number?

Why is Channel 240 not on the Eastern Arc?
