My mother just got a free Eastern Arc upgrade, replacing her 110/119/61.5 hybrid setup. Before the switch she had a 211 & a 508. They replaced the 508 with a 612 as part of the upgrade(since it wouldn't work on MPEG4 EA). The installer didn't give her any hint of what her new equipment rental would be. To further complicate matters, she pays annually for her programming package and the 211 was picked up before DISH started offering the primary receiver lease fee free. I dealt with executive resolutions a couple of years ago and they claim there's no way to get rid of the lease fee without replacing the 211. They did offer to credit the amount every month, but could only enter a years worth of credits at a time. So believe it or not her monthly bill used to look something like this:
Primary Leased equipment fee - $9
Lease fee credit - ($9)
Secondary receiver Fee (for the 508) - $7
Now that the 508 has been replaced with the 612, will that automatically become the primary receiver? And will that get rid of the need to get the credit every year for the 211, since it now really should be a receiver with a fee? And I also assume she'll now be paying the $6 DVR fee as well? Just trying to fill her in on what to expect before the bill comes.
TIA to one of the Dish reps or anyone one else with some idea.
