I called Dish to make sure I wasn't paying a "penalty" $5 from not having the phone line in, because the phone line IS plugged in. I read some of you from this forum having an issue with this. She said not only was I paying the penalty I was being charged for a single 811 and 2 522's or something. I said well that's not right and she wanted to go over all the receivers with me. I'm not home and told her I would call later. But what SHOULD my bill look like?? Thanks

You should have:
2 $5 charges for each 811 (for a total $10)
1 $4.98 VoD charge for having a 522
Those are the only services fees you should have, anything else is programming.

Or couldn't one of the $5 be for the 522 instead of an 811 if the 522 wasn't the "first" receiver on the account? Just checking, all their $4.98, $4.99, and $5 fees tend to confuse me at times.

Well, your right it doesn't matter. It's $10 anyway. But usually the 522/322 is the first receiver on the list.

You should have 15 dollars in charges (rounded)

5 for VOD
and 5 for each additional receiver after 1. (ie 3 receivers would be 5*2, 4 would be 5*3) etc etc

My brother has a similar setup: 1 522, 1 811, 1 311. He gets charged: 2 $4.99 additional outlet fees, 1 for the 811 and 1 for the 311. The 522 is his "first" receiver. He has the AEP to avoid the VOD fee. But otherwise it would be $5 more. He does not get charged an additional fee for the second output on the 522 (yes it's on a phone line).

He is NOT a lease custoner, he took a chance and bought a 522 on Ebay and got it activated.
