I found a good deal on some lnb's. It says ViewSat RF: 12.20/12.70 GHz IF:950/1450 MHz L.O.: 11.25 GHz Gain: 60dB Noise Figure: 0.5 dB Made in China.

I am wondering if ViewSat makes a decent lnb and if this lnb will work with the Directv 101 satellite or Dish Network satellites.

That's what I was afraid of. I thought it seemed like the wrong frequency range. Must explain why the lnb's are so cheap. I wonder what they were used for and what they can be used for now? They look like a Directv lnb with the square end to fit on the older 18 inch dishes.

I figured they were FTA since ViewSat made receivers but thought it would have been in the same frequency range as Dish/Direct as well. The lnb's probably wouldnt pick up many channels would they?

These would be for FTA and are Linear rather than Circular polarization. They are not going to work for DBS.
