What is the "switch"?

Thanks, SmithP and RandallA. I've briefly glanced at the "Intro to Dishpro" and the explanations and illustrations seem easy enough to understand. Seems like other questions I have about the technology I'll be able to find at the solidsignal page too.

I've been involved with computers and electronics since the sixties (anybody remember Fortran... I don't anymore) so I and just trying to understand this technology a little better.

Fortran ? Need transposing of big matrix ? Do you need resolve system of non-linear equations for low altitude turbulence ?

Hi all, reading this info on the switch issues, I have received a model 311 receiver for my RV hook up at the campground along with my home setup and the dish 500 that I have the LNB has no switch internal. I am looking at buying the Twin LNB from EBAY or is there an extenal switch that I could buy to accomplish the same thing...

Thank You and I don't mean to keep this subject running, just not sure which direction to go..

Just check those links at posts #17 and #18; DP/DPP Twin have internal switch for sure.
