Could someone please comment or let me know the proper sequence re connection of the Actuator Bolt and Nuts to the Dish Ring? There are 2 Nuts but I've only got one on so far. The Dish was disassembled when I picked it up, so I never had a chance to see it mounted. The way I have it now does NOT seem correct. See Pics.

....Could someone please comment....

Photo #2 indicates that the aircraft joint should be on the bottom side of the mounting tab. That will lessen the angle of the actuator.

Ideally, both attachment points should be in the same plane (no angles greater than 30 degrees) and the flatwasher between the bolthead and the aircraft joint.

That Von Weise arm clamp has no swivel ball so I would recommend installing a spacer or washers between that and the mount as well. It will further reduce the angle. Von Weise used to sell and optional clamp with a ball and grease fitting. If you could find one of those that would be even better.

A closer look: Is that a brass bushing (spacer) against the bolthead? If it is, relocate it to the bottom side of the tab, push the spherical rod end against it, add the flatwasher and a locknut, and the geometry may be ideal.

Try to make sure that the spherical rod end becomes a bearing and not something to correct gross missalignment. As Lynskyn suggested, don't be afraid to add spacers (more washers) to make everything straight. Get a longer bolt if necessary and make sure everything is tight.

Thanks Caddata and Lynskyn. So if I understand, I need to move the pivot point or is it the Aircraft Joint BELOW the steel ring portion and add washers as required. There is a pivoting ball that rolls at the end of the Actuator - could this be the Swivel Ball that you are talking about Lynskyn?

Thanks for the info caddata. Tried your suggestion and I need another spacer since I ran out of enough thread to tighten up the Bolt and Nut. Looks like the spare half inch copper water pipe pieces I have will work so I'll cut a couple of 1/2 inch wide pieces and see if they work.
