What happens to recordings when the channel they were recorded from is unsubscribed?

Will I be able to view them after the subscription expires?

I'm recording some shows on my free 3-month subscription to Starz. Does unsubscribing act like locking out channels? I have had to unlock several channels because the programs recorded on them would be marked "locked" (for example, I recorded a concert on 9469 instead of 369 Palladia, and it became locked after I locked out duplicate mapped channel 9469).
