what happenned to TRIO?

DirecTV pulled it off

Now Comcast pulled it off.

Their website is up and running just fine.

What happenned?

There were rumblings from NBC Universal (their parent) that they were going to discontinue TRIO, so I am of the understanding that the DBS & cable providers are just being proactive.

Their site is still up and they are in the middle of 'Brilliant but cancelled' again....

I'm rather mad that DirecTV removed Trio. I would REALLY like to have that channel. That was the biggest decision maker for me switching from Dish, and then I find out it's leaving a day before my install. lol

Trio is still on the Cincinnati TWC digital system.

And BTW, I just read a couple weeks ago in Multichannel News, that when Verizon FiOS signed a long term prog agreement w/NBC Universal, one of the many channels specifically mentioned being on the FiOS platform was Trio - makes you wonder if Trio is going to try to go it w/out D*.
