Ok, so I load the zipcode32 program, and I enter my zipcode (70605). I am in south-western Louisiana. I am basically on the gulf of mexico. I type in the 61.5 West satellite, and I get an azimuth angle of 125 and elevation angle of 41.

Is that the correct settings? That azimuth angle is a lot more east than south, for me. (this is a good thing!)

Your elevation angle is quite good. So if you have nothing in front of you, you should be able to see the satellite.

By good, you mean that it's good that it is a kind of steep angle?

Not as low as 19... which most people in the west coast end up. You should be ok as long as there is not a big building or a tree or a mt in front of you.
