VOOM's not getting Network channels is the number one reason why the installer here gets fewer VOOM subs than either Direct or Dish. He said people come in to his store, they look at the quality of the picture that VOOM has plus the sheer number of HD stations, they say wow.... Hook me up, er, but what about network channels again? And when the installer tells them VOOM doesn't have any, the potential customer immediately orders either Dish or Direct. He says this happens nearly every day.
VOOM's HD content plus the networks would immediately boost subscriptions. As for me, I am going to order VOOM and not wait. But I am also going to keep Direct for my wife's sake, because of the networks it offers. The reason that I'm subscribing to VOOM now is not because of the quality of the HD VOOM originals. They have a was to go to dramatically improve on those channels. Rather, I'm subscribing because, I want VOOM to see it's vision fulfilled. I like to see people with vision succeed in this HD industry. And to me, VOOM has the best vision!
