I love to hear/see any news from Paradigm. I'm looking for some new speakers and want to know what their new offerings will be.

.
Please ask what plans Dish has for phasing out the 508 & related DVRs. And how they'll treat the "grandfathered" aspect.

Any information on what carrier(s) is getting the HTC HD 2 would be awesome

+1

If Sprint carries the HTC HD 2 then I will be getting this. Otherwise, I will be getting the HTC TP2.

Otherwise, I would like to know what Dish is planning for the 922 (release dates, cool enhancements, etc.)

If scott or any of the guys see this, like them to stop by the samsung mobile booth, apparently they have a version of my phone Samsung Moment but with a atsc tuner chip built in for mobile dtv

CES is weird! I am of the opinion anyone can get in if you are creative in how you register.

The reason why I say weird, is because, take me for example. I work in TV as a content producer. So, I register and they want to issue Press credentials. I tell them, NO! I work in advertising. I can't be identified as a member of the press. Now officially, I am what is known as an "Industry Affiliate" I believe that is a catch all category. BUT, the actual business class it "Entertainment" That is the same class the Booth Babes and other show entertainers get. It gets further complicated when I get my badge becase they want to issue an entertainment badge holder but my color code on the badge is "Blue" not black. I'm sure I lost most of you by now. :) So I get a badge that says "Entertainment" but the holder says Industry Affiliate. Last year the registration people had all sorts of problems with this. Finally a supervisor got involved and explained that I should be called "Media" but they assigned the title of "Media" to Press and I don't qualify as Press as I don't work in reporting news etc.

So, having been a CES Industry affiliate for almost 20 years now, I have no trouble registering, but getting past the badge dispatch is another story. None of it makes any logical sense. The supervisor says the reason there is so much confusion is because the people they hire are old and don't pay attention in class. LOL!

Bottom line is if anyone wants to go to CES, they probably have a category and all you need to register is be in one of those categories, even if you form your own Home theater consulting business. Then make up a business card and have that and a photo ID with you when you pick up your badge holder. If you wait to register at the show ( never personally did that) It will be very expensive, take a long time and I have no idea what sort of interrogation you will have to go through. However, consider this- CES needs attendees, lots of them , to justify the high prices they charge exhibitors to be here. So, just about anyone remotely involved in the industry, even hobbyists, will be welcome, even though the blue hairs may get their jollies making you feel you aren't welcome.

Would it be asking too much to go by and do a couple clips on the porn awards... I have always been to tight to pay the money to really see what goes on in there!!
