u might get a few drips n draps along the way but the new satellite D12 launches september 2009....then 2 months of testing....so i will say around december 1 we should start seeing more substantial HDs.

Nimiq 5 was recently added to the Proton-M/Briz-M forecast for September so it seems likely that something is going to shift one way or the other.

Not enough bandwidth for that. There are still a lot of HD channels that Direct does not carry, 60+ channels still available in HD. I can see after D12 Direct having a new slogan, "The only provider to carry every available HD channel and network"
