I have 3 cameras that I would like to be able to check on while at work/vacation etc. I use a HAI OmniPro II for automation, which has the capability to remotely connect to and control. The literature states you have to have a Dynamic DNS client set up for that.

Anyway, this type of stuff is not my forte at all. Do I need my own domain and webpage with dynamic dns in order for cameras to work? What are the cheapest, easiest ways to set this up? My cameras are modulated now on televisions at home, so I assume I need some type of card in my computer as well. HAI recommends the Haupagge Win-TV GO card.

Thanks guys!

I have this long term dream of becoming a snowbird, wintering in florida...

checking the cameras back home in snowey pittsburgh, using a pa system to talk to my neighbors while they are shoveling snow:) I could tell them its 75 here and sunny:)

OH TO DREAM!

I use Panasonic IP cams here PZT. Works great and they supply a DDNS for easy access with 4 cameras viewable on a single web page.

If you have video feed cams, consider connecting the video output to a sling box.
