What Dish thinks about people buying X22 receivers.

activation problem
Actually it seems, dish network will not activate the dual receivers for certain type of accounts. I talked to dish network customer service about this at least 5 times. Each time I got a different answer. Since I am not getting a firm committment from dish network, I ended up not taking the risk of buying it from ebay. I hope some day they make these dual receivers available officially to purchase.

Yep, I just dropped them an email and within 10 minutes Kristen Lovelace called to get my receiver and smartcard numbers. All is good and we will be activated within 15 minutes. So I will concur the best thing to do is get the receiver and smartcard checked out before you purchase and after that you should be on cruise control.
CSR's still cannot do this for you although they are aware of the changes coming in January.
