Multiple selections are allowed.

I was given such a fryer. Not sure I want to buy all that peanut oil. To get my money's worth, I'd have to fry a bit more than usual before the oil goes bad. Three or four uses?

Ever fry something else afterwards, using the peanut oil and fryer?

We'll have 12-15 people. I'm thinking 2, maybe 3, entree choices. One, by direction, will be a traditional turkey, probably done on an outside gas grill rotisserie. Something else in the smoker. Something else in the oven. Have to avoid all pork and seafood products due to allergies of one of the guests. Lamb has been shot down. Maybe venison. Maybe beef. Maybe 2 turkeys, one traditional, one smoked. Probably make turkey gumbo with the leftovers.

Looking for ideas.

Guess I was the only guy to do a smoker. Usually do 1 every year. Keep em small, no more than 15 lbs. or so and you'll do Ok. This year used apple wood turned out great. Quite a bit like pheasant.

I did two 11 lb turkeys and a 4 lb lamb. One rotissed turkey, one smoked, and smoked the lamb. And not nearly enough ABTs.

Still not sure about Christmas. Guess I'll start another poll.
