What a waste of time...

Ok, so I opened up my sling guide here at the office and spent 10 minutes sorting out my channels. I am a Turbo HD gold subscriber, so keep that in mind. Here is what I am seeing:

Alright, so now I can see where they get that stupid number from for my package. It does not appear that they would have to count locals, or HD PPVs or OnDemands; if you just add the package channels to the Shopping/Crap/Free ones, you get 68, which jives with the claim of over 65 channels. My questions is why the number of channels in each package increases by 8 (if you count them up on the Dish Turbo website), but the "total" channels according to Dish change first by 10, then by 5?!

I went through hell trying to get stuff OTA, but being near an airport, and my building basically blocking the source of all the antennas, I could not get it to work. I only have the locals from Dish. I guess that list is kinda long, but a lot of those are Spanish channels; I have the Dallas, TX locals (obviously) and I doubled checked Dish's website for locals available, and it concurs with my SlingGuide figure of 17.

Wait, that's only 44! Viacoms?

Maybe they meant to say 10 pay-per-view HD's.
