What are Dish CSR Saying about adding hd Feb. 1

Everyone should call and ask. Maybe we can get one solid answer.
Every year when Dish has a price increase (btw has ANYONE got any official notification from Dish of the new rates?) Dish usually adds a few new channels to make us feel better about paying more.
It would not surprise me to see some new channels light up this week. But then again it wouldnt surprise me to see nothing as well.
Dish is a ship which once again seems to be a drift at sea with nobody piloting the ship.

Scott, the online chat rep told me that prices were not going up. I said "well, yes they are, I'm just wondering if Dish is adding any HD to make up for the increase." She said "Yes, we are adding more HD."

I just got off the phone with a retention "specialist" and when I canceled my account, they asked for a reason. I said because I don't get my locals and RSNs in HD. The specialist said, Do you realize we are launching a new satellite and that 74 new HD markets will be available on Feb 1st. Since I am always on this site and have not seen any mention of this new Satellite I believe that is a lie. And 74 markets seems to be a lot for one day so I still canceled. But this is my first post and figured I would pass on this "info".
Two rules of thumb,
1. CSR's are not to talk about new stuff prior to its release date.
2. CSR's get very basic training and generaly on the day of or just before a roll out ( advanced guys tend to get it earlier from what I've heard, Kevin could lend info if it wouldnt get him in trouble )
Keep in mind that the low level csr's are also the same ones that will tell you that the signal comes through tree's fine, you can put the dish in your attic, a wireless dish is an option, adding two more boxes to your account wont raise your monthly rate, ect ect ect. ( Rinse and repeat for other providers )

I not only got I have it....A guitar that was made by Denny Zager, bought it from him about 3 years ago, talked to him a few times...real nice guy.
