So having that splitter/diplexer there would mean I could go back to cable Internet? When we were forced to deal with Consolidated we were told they would provide our Internet but we could no longer have cable Internet. I think they lied. Anyway, it was crap Internet and then they abandoned it altogether. Now I have phone co DSL. I'd go back to cable Internet if I could. They really pulled a number on the tenants here. Completely broke the law that I found about on this site. If I wasn't so happy with Direct I'd be raising hell about it.

If they arent providing internet then you should be able to get cable internet. But it all depends on the deal the complex signed with the devil errrr Consolidated

I guess it depends on if the cable company has their own boxes they can get into (in the central area).

Other than taking 4 phone calls for them (AccessMedia3) to place the request with Directv to change the plan from Choice to the MDU plan (thus free) I havent had any issues. I like being billed from D* directly as I still have full access to my account (other than the price plan) and I can still get credits

Just for grins,try hooking the vhf/uhf side to the tv tuner and do some channel scans and see if you get anything.

I'm away from home now but I may try it sometime next week.
Ice, you may already know this, but I always call Direct anytime I'm looking for a discount or for anything else. They will deal with me directly until it gets to the point that I need a service call. Just an FYI, in case you don't get any love from your middleman. I went through Direct on my replacement receiver so I wouldn't have to pay $50 to the Devil.
