What a Gift!!

Anybody else get a LARGE piece of (Junk Mail) from Dish that had 1 free PPV certificate!! Why did they waste so much money? A simple email would have been fine. The envelope said "special thank you" I know they were trying to put "Lipstick" on the pig about their price increase but I think subs would find this as an "Insult" to our intelligence.. I hope (For Dish's Sake) that other subs may have gotten better gifts..I really that charlie knows about this complete and total waste of resources.

I haven't either in my 10+ years. Got the one Juan mentioned in the mail today plus it was plugging channel 102. Yippee!

I would have preferred two.

I got the 2 cards but no PPV code. Just free EPIX for a month (already have it free through Charter internet), & it mentions the channel 102 free movies - which are always older ones that I won't watch again.
NO mention of increased 2nd hopper fee, just the $5 increase in programming package. Already confirmed my new pricing through Dirt, but don't understand why we aren't being notified of the higher equipment fees. "Valued customers" have the right to know; those who don't read this forum might be surprised.

Usually its at least a couple ppv with a couple of those cards u give friends....this year was all sizzle..I guess even dish knows nobody wants to sign up

No kidding. I can't think of anyone I know that wants to sign up with Dish right now. I've had the HR-34 and now the HWS - not much difference in my opinion - both needs to be restarted at least once a week. Plus no ESPN/Disney HD on the horizon and no FT HD RSN's makes it a tough sell to my sports minded friends.

I think I did too.... I opened mine though and don't recall any "inserts". It did mention a PPV certificate or something and I presumed it was telling me about a new online certificate. If it's the type that you have to send in with your bill, well, that doesn't work for myself and most since we pay online (just like Dish wants us to do !).

You see no difference between the HR34 and HWS? The HR34 is what drove me to Dish in the first place. I've read the HR44 performs much better.

HWS is zippier but the 34 wasn't bad. I had a 34 and 3 24's (all free) but the constant resets (and audio issues) drove me to Dish and the Hoppers. Unfortunately we have to reset the Hoppers (now HWS) at least once a week in order to view recorded content from the other HWS in the house.

I am surprised that they don't include a small jar of Vaseline with the coupons , since we all have to bend over and take these price hikes every year now.

No one has to take the price increases. People choose to remain with (insert the name of every TV provider here) and accept the increases....
