WFWA new sub channel.

PBS 39 WFWA will be adding a weather radar channel on 39.5. Is this do to atsc 3.0 or better encoders?

A low motion channel such as a weather radar takes much less bandwidth than a full motion station.

They can divide up the bandwidth however they like (unless the owners have specific rules). We have a station cluster here, WROB/KCKS/KMJC that has 12 subchannels, each about 1.5 mbps.
