World Fishing Network landed a major television partnership with the CRK Canadian Fishing Tour (CFT).
WFN is now the exclusive home of the CFT in Canada, with coverage of the CFT Super Series events airing on the all-fishing network., the companies announced. The CFT will debut weekly on WFN Thursdays at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT during the season, which begins June 24, 2006. WFN also will also produce a season-opening preview show (air dates to be announced).
The CFT, Canada's professional fishing circuit, has announced that the 2006 season will feature guaranteed prize money of up to one million dollars for all CFT events. The guaranteed payout is the largest in Canadian history and a first for Canadian professional fishing, the CFT described.
WFN will oversee all television production of CFT events, enhancing production values and bringing coverage of the events to the next level.

Up to 150 professional anglers compete in every Canadian Fishing Tour Super Series event, including national personalities Bob Izumi and Dave Mercer, as well as top Canadian pros such as Jim Estabrooks, Al Patton and Dave Chong.
