It's interesting to see all these Tv station FTA uplinks.

I dont have a FTA dish but I watched a lot of TV coverage on the web thru respective TV station websites.

My best guess all these uplinks where done because New Orleans was to take the actual "big hit" and all the local tv stations left their downtown studios (very low point of town) and wanted to broadcast to their transmitter sites from remote cities (WWL did their coverage from LSU in Baton Rouge) WDSU did their coverage from Jackson Ms.) etc so I assume a lot of these TV uplinks where to get signals to their transmitter sites in New Orleans.
