OK question for you know it all about DVB cards. Can I get DVB-S2 4:2:0/4:2:2 SD/HD with MAC OS X? If so, which versions are supported?

i doubt you will have much luck with mac OS and dvb. i dont think i have seen a mac driver for any dvb cards i own... (twinhan 1027, geniatech digistar, genpix sw-1, tbs6920, dvbworld 2006, prof 7301 / 7500). id stick with an xp / linux dual boot for the best of both of those worlds.

crackt out,.

boy this MicroDVBbox is so quiet. I will report as soon as I got it going with my 1.2M dish.

OK after messing with some settings tonight, I did some text with the MicroDVBbox.

I started with XP and had some trouble with the codecs, well finally installed and set them up correctly and my test was not as I wanted it to be. Xp seems to run slow at times with my PC setup (i3 processor + DDR3 PC12000) maybe overkill??? so i decided to try my other partition.

The other OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Installed DVBDream and VLC and amazingly it ran 1000 times better then XP.. sooo smooth I was impressed.

Here are some snap shots from VLC on some DVB-S2 H.264 feed from Azteca HD.

With my PC setup, for me Win7 64bit ran the best of the 2 OS's

We'll see how it goes with other sats and feeds. Stay tuned :up

The combo has HDMI out and using the graphics from the i3 540 chip. There is no need for a dedicated video card. Also has optical out for DD.
