Well if you are reading this you are on the new server!

Hard to believe it's been just a few minutes since we flipped the DNS over to the new server and there is already 100 users online.

It's also hard to believe that there is 100 users online and the adverage server load is 0.00!

Now somethings may not be working correctly yet, but this is mainly due to the DNS Changes. Features such as email may be delayed because of the DNS Change.

I would love to thanks Larry (LER) for all his help, he is a true UNIX guru! I could not have not moved the site without him.

If you see anything strange please let me know!

Not sure if it is just my imagination, but it really DOES seem faster today!

It should seem faster.

We are now running a server with Dual Pentum XEON 2.4Ghz processors running in hyperthreaded mode!

Our pop where the server is located is also directly connected to the following internet backbone connections.

· UUNet - GigE Connection (1000Mbps)
· Sprint - GigE Connection (1000Mbps)
· Level 3 - GigE Connection (1000Mbps)
· Verio - GigE Connection (1000Mbps)
· Time Warner - GigE Connection(1000Mbps)
· Global Crossing - GigE Connection (1000Mbps)
· Allegiance Telecom - GigE Connection (1000Mbps)
· ATT - OC3 Connection (155Mbps)

Plus the fact that our uplink speed is 100 Megabits now instead of 10 megabits. This should help greatly as well!

The speed of this site was fine for a while then lately it had been slow but since the new server came up the speed has gotten better again. I was afraid that my internet was getting slower or that my internet accelerator (by EarthLink) was not working correctly.
