Looking to get into FTA
I'll be posting some questions about what I need, what I have, to get into FTA reception. I just have to figure out where to post my questions. There's so much information here and equipment, satellite programming are always changing that it's quite confusing.

HI! Looking for a way to get rid of an old dish used for Internet access. I switched to DSL, but had bought the dish and modem, so I hate to just throw them into the metal bin at the recycle center. Any ideas?

I am new to the FTA hobby and stumbled upon this site on Google when I was searching for "True FTA" information... Its kinda hard to weed through all the Hacker/Pirate related sites before you find a true gem of a site like this one.. I have been reading a great deal of info about this hobby and decided to take the plunge.. My hopes are to install a motorized dish and with a little help from all the seasoned hobbyists here, I can turn my hopes into reality.. and make some new friends along the way
Btw, Iceberg... I have to give you 2 :up:up because all of your stickys in the FTA forum have provided me with a great deal of info

I'm located on the Canadian side of MI/ON border. I've been lurking on this site for some time and thought it's about time I introduce myself. Very impressed with the quality of info you get from this site. I've been a satellite enthusiast for a long time - I have a DirectTV, H23 receiver with a Slimline3 SWM dish, a Shaw/StarChoice 505 receiver, a 4DTV 922 receiver with a C/KU Band 10' dish, a FTA system with a 24" dish with a Dream Box 500 and SatCruiser receivers

I've been a D* subscriber since August and have been enjoying every minute of it. HD picture quality is better than I've seen elsewhere.
Unemployed at the moment but am hoping that will soon change. Probably won't post much unless I have something useful to add.

I've been prowling around on this site for a few months after initially looking for information about Dish equipment. Started reading some of the threads, and now I'm hooked. Been an E* sub for 5+ years. Anyway, just thought I'd drop a line and say, hello. Great site!
