Welcome New Members! (Please Say HI here!)

Nah, Haller's brother lives in Phoenix and Regina said she lived in the southeast. So, reverse the geography and the gender and what do you have!

Hi,

I just signed up. I live in northern California and have a vacation house in Mexico, one hour north of Puerto Vallarta. I borrowed a Shaw system one year but its no longer available. I tried the Mexican satellite system last year and was very dissatisfied. I've heard that Direct TV works there and wonder if I can sign up for it at my California house and take a second dish and receiver down to Mexico with me. Anyone have experience with this?

I'm not tech savy, don't even have a cell phone, so please respond as if you're talking to a ten-year old.

Thanks

Steven

Hi and welcome, No wonder you didn´t like the Mexican sat system (Sky).
I am not sure about Directv reception in that area, but if the signal covers your vacation home, I bet you will need a larger dish than the one you would use in the US.
Mexico City is far from where you say and here it takes at least one 8 footer dish and another 6 footer to get some DTV. Let me see if I find info on DTV reception in PV and I guess what Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit area ?
