Hi all, new guy here. Just found this site today and look forward to learning a little. Getting ready for work now, so no time to talk. One quick question if I may though. At work we have a single 18" DirecTV dish with single element dual LNB and only utilize one feed to one receiver (Standard Service). Purchased a multiswitch to expand capability. It's a Steren #201-734. Need to know if it is compatible with our system. A-in 13 to 14V, B-in 17-18V, both 950-2150 MHz with a feed for old antenna (not to be used). Four ports out 40-2150 MHz. Will check back later tonight. Thanks.:hungry:

Welcome to the site!!!!........... Yes the switch you have will work. Run 2 lines from your lnb to the switch, one to A and one to B

Thank you for quick respond and welcome. Headed out door now. Just a follow up question. 85' from dish to building entry with total run of 240' to multiswitch. Short runs thereafter. Should I install coax ground block at building entry? Have a dual block 3GHz. Cable is Belden 7916A and have passive in-line amps (15-20) for after multi. See ya at work. out.

Hi guys, just checking in
Been lurking here for a while. But having made a very recent career change and have just gone through my first week of Directv installer tech training, it's well overtime for me to register )

I like the forums here.

Hi everyone, I am new here and found the forums really useful. I was able to find some good advice on how to set up since I joined and I don't regret it now, I am currently on 123w ku and currently waiting on an 8 foot dish that was a giveaway, just waiting for the snow to go away so I can set it up. I just haven't figured out what sats I want to point at, but I am sure I will try them all eventually. This is an amazing hobby that I plan on keeping. I just love Retrojams and hope to have many more great finds as I get more equipment.:up:D:up
