It is a S2 Spaun SMS 5802 NF

Made in Germany

(uses power external power)

LOOK AT PICTURE FOR MOST DETAIL

Can I use this for FTA?

Does this thing have any value?


I am just wondering If anyone has seen this before and knows how it works...

From the picture, it reads like a 4x8 switch.
That's two LNBs input, and eight receivers supported.
(along with a terrestrial antenna)

If you need one, I'd wager that's a nice one.
Did you get it free or find it somewhere?

Just looked it up - it's discontinued. But still very nice.
Yes, it's useful for FTA.
I'd keep it 'till I found a use for it.
But if you don't need it, it would make good trading material.
Just don't value it at any $400 :)

Others like this are 20 or so bucks on ebay.


I am gona keep it and play with it. You never know when certain stuff comes in handy

wouldn't it be 5x8? it looks to have an OTA input too.

Add a diplexor and it might be of use to some of the Coolsat HD owners.
