Weird 622 Audio dropout on recorded shows: only when recording HD

My 622 isn't experiencing this, but I'm posting for a friend.

He has a 622 with v. 4.47 software and has a strange bug. Whenever he is recording HD, he loses audio on any SD or HD that he is trying to play back. The audio on the HD that's being recorded is fine (as is anything else that's LIVE).

And regardless of whether he wants to watch SD or HD that's been recorded, there's no audio. If he's recording SD, he can watch recorded HD or SD with audio without any problems. As soon as the HD recording stops, any of the shows that he has recorded can be watched just fine (though occasionally he has to put the 622 into standby mode and then back to get it to work.) He's not using HDMI at all and while I'm not 100% sure, I believe he's using optical audio out to a receiver.

Any thoughts?

I've been seeing a similar problem since my software was upgraded as well. My problem seems to be a little more intermittent though. On a couple of HD recordings I noticed that the audio just stops for a little while and then comes back.

I have no idea what's going on.

Same here. I found its more with my local HD channels.
