I have not been able to sign into my account with Orby since last Friday. I want to put my service "on pause" for the month of November as I will busy with other projects and what time I have for TV I can use to catch up on DVDs. When trying to sign in I get an endlessly spinning yellow circle.
So, of course I called their customer service on Friday and asked that my service be put on pause. The representative was aware of the web site problem. My only concern it that the other time I wanted to be put on pause I did it on the web site but when I would check back it still showed that my credit card was to be charged on the next due date. I called twice and spoke to representatives who assured me I would not be charged, the last time only two days before the due date. I was charged anyways.
I filed a dispute with my credit card company and was refunded through them. Now I wish I could see if my account shows that it is on pause but they seem unable to fix the web site. This is discouraging and I am beginning to feel that this company is not up to the task at hand.

Odd, all pages load on my account as of 2pm PDT.

Well, 5:00 PM here in Texas and I let the yellow circle spin for over a minute. Yes, the web site is visible and I can go to the sign in page but can not sign in. Obviously Titanium could. The representative on Friday did say she was aware of the problem. Maybe it is just for some users. I will soon know if I get charged against my wishes again.

I have been on the phone for two hours with tech support today - I have not been able to sign into my account EVER since Jan 24th. They said 2 weeks ago that they would have the IT department cancel my account - so that I could start over anew that didn't work. They will get back to me later today.....

Tuesday morning and still can not sign in to account. I have even played around with the settings on my computer in case the latest Apple upgrade caused any changes. I did receive a "private conversation" through our forum from Orby that the problem has been escalated. Actually, that is what the lady told me on the phone last Friday. I suppose "pausing" service is the same thing as cancelling it permanently.

OK, a friend was telling me that he occasionally has trouble opening a site with Apple Safari and uses Chrome on those occasions. I managed to download Chrome and sure enough I was able to sign into my Orby account and verify that my service is indeed scheduled to go on Pause and not charge my credit card on November 2nd. Hopefully, this could help any other member having similar problems who use an Apple computer.

considering getting orbytv next month, can I self-instal?
