I'm looking into buying a EMP Centauri GOTO nn S.168 8 x 1 switch and notice the manufacturer states it should be installed indoors.
This is impossible for me.
Does anyone make some kind of cases for these so they are weatherproff? Or do you have to jury rig something?

In the electrical department at Home Depot and similar stores are large plastic waterproof electrical boxes. Like 10 inch x 10 inch and 8 inches deep. They have no holes, you need to drill holes for whatever size wire clamp(s) or conduit you are using. And these things are not cheap.

Depending on how you would run the cables into the box (individual holes or one big one) a 10 x 10 box might not be big enough. The switch itself (not including the coax posts) is 3 1/2 inch by 4 1/2 inch, so allowing for the coax connection/bend in the coax adds a couple of inches on all sides.

Fortunately for me my switch is indoors, I ran all my cables inside the house to begin with after experiencing water/ice issues with the outdoor switch on my Star Choice system (which also now resides indoors).
