ABC is currently with a stupid screen saying "NO NEED TO CALL US".
Its been like this for an hour. DirecTV dropped the ball, all those advertisements telling us how good they are, but they dropped the ball big time.
They need to run an encore or some ****t.

If your local ABC Affiliate's owners are in a contract dispute with Dish. the satellite provider cannot legally broadcast the channel.
if it is an outage, there should be a message on the screen explaining the condition.
Oh,,,,For the results of the awards....Look it up on line. The AA Show is all political commentary anyway

Its one thing reading it and its another thing watching it.

It appears it was a technical issue from DirecTV side. WAY TO F* up DTV. Was able to catch the last hour of the show.

How do you know it was Directv's fault and not the local channel?

I enjoyed not watching it. All 3 of my ABC's were probably fine, at least they were at 11:30 when news was supposed to start but didn't.

I think it's your local station KOLO-DT Reno's TV market more than Directv. Used to live in Lake Tahoe areas not suprised that KOLO-DT have some hicups problen.

As others have mentioned .... if they wereally all able to watch it on D* without any issues, then chances are it was a local issue.

I can tell you for a fact that it was your local provider and not a DirecTV issue. DirecTV has MANY backups in place when it comes to delivering local content. The only time when those backups fail is when the provider has issues as the provider is the only source DirecTV can get that programming from contractually. It is very rare that DirecTV has a failure on their side due to the amount of redundancy that is in place. DirecTV's goal is to give you 100 percent signal reliability, and they have heavily invested in exactly that. If they can't deliver local XYZ it's because local XYZ has a messed up transmission / delivery and dropped the ball. 99.999 percent of the time this is the case.
