Watching KBS WORLD via Hotbird

Using the Hotbird satellite, I was watching KBS WORLD (the Korean channel) as a FTA but it recently got caught off and now says $ and Viaccess. Why is that?

How can I subscribe to continue watching KBS WORLD? Is it possibel to watch it on Arabsat?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I assume KBS World was broadcasting FTA for a limited time as a sort of promotion to attract paying customers.

If you go to Lyngsat, you will find a link to KBS World on the listings for Hotbird 6. If you can't find an answer to your question on the KBS website, you can always send them an e-mail and ask how to subscribe.

It's also on G10in North America. When I checked last night, it was still free. I don't know if you can hit G10 from your location.

I see on the KBS website that they also broadcast on PAS10 which hits much of HotBird6's footprint.

So, PAS10 might work for him, according to the footprint on the KBS website. (Although, it may not be FTA there, either.)
