It's funny looking back but at the time it was awsome.I remember we had one of those in the 1950s.

PIP? What ya want to discuss?Talk about Thread Creep!
Can we get back to the original discussion. Please!!
Yep, that antenna rotator did a pretty good job back then bringing in them there analog signals. I remember it looked like a car differential and my dad had it mounted on a plumbing pipe coming out of the roof. Of course that is a big no no to attach OTA antennas on plumbing pipes, but I guess he didn't know that. I don't recall having any roof leaks but who knows. It's funny looking back but at the time it was awsome.
My dad did the same thing but he was a plumber so what else would he use.Yep, that antenna rotator did a pretty good job back then bringing in them there analog signals. Because there is a chance the pipe chalking can crack causing a rain leak from the wind whipping the OTA antenna around that is attached to the pipe. Why is it bad to use plumbing pipes?

You didn't start this thread. The OP was an add for pip.Look at my first post! This thread was meant to request Dish to allow BlueTooth audio for one picture while normal audio for the other picture so two people can watch and hear 2 separate programs at the same time.
If you guys want to talk crapovision, I'll just restart another thread.
Sorry, you completely lost me there. What is pipe chalking?Because there is a chance the pipe chalking can crack causing a rain leak from the wind whipping the OTA antenna around that is attached to the pipe.
He meant caulking, the sealer....Sorry, you completely lost me there. What is pipe chalking?
Could do top and bottom...I just wish when doing side by side... Both channels would take up half the screen... But I don't think it's possible is it... Usually it's two boxes with black on the top and bottom
But PIP is basically disappearing. The last TV I have seen PIP on is the Vizio I bought in 2009, I have not seen it on any current sets.seems like i've been using PIP for viewing 2 channels forever (or at least close)
I use PIP all the time. I like to buffer the channels and switch between them so I can skip the commercials.

Actually I was referring to the Hopper version of PIP - I'm not even sure if my TV has it or not. - I don't think it does.
