I plan on getting a 4K HDR Sony TV when my 10 year old Hitachi RPCRT TV finally dies, so I've recorded the Olympics 4K HDR stuff on my H3 and archived it to an EHD that I'll put away until that day.

You did good! I did the same thing with the Rio Olympics and I only had a 1080P TV. When I got my 4K set, and it had HDR already but that didn't matter then, I was able to watch the recordings in 4K...

One thing I learned in my 'skip forwards' . If it's letterboxed, it's a commercial for Blue Planet and not the show itself. The show is in 1.77:1.
