I just got a westinghouse 27" lcd hd tv and i want to upgrade to dish hd. What are the costs involved in upgrading? I know they have hd channels for $20 a month but what about installation fees or additional equipment fees?

A Dish CSR told me that I would basically have to pay $179 up front and get upgraded, but I would get most of it back in monthly credits/rebates over a 10 month period. I suggest calling Dish to see for sure.

I just finished upgrading to HD yesterday. I've been a dish subscriber for a few years, but this was my first HD subscription. So... the up-front cost was $149, but there's a rebate form (http://www.dishnetwork.com/downloads/pdf/DMAIL599_RedemptionFormUpdate.pdf) that gives me $50 back, as well as $10/month for 10 months. The PDF form does a good job of laying out the details of the offer. That includes installation and any necessary equipment fees.
