Bob,
Wouldn't it just be easier to face the reality that VOOM is over?
Why would they continue the company without their main [and currently
only] satellite? Why would EchoStar buy VOOM's satellite to keep the
venture going?
If those questions aren't enough for you, let me quote the recently
published Wall Street Article (1/20/05 @ 10:08pm):
"Cablevision Systems Corp. will shut down its Voom satellite service
and sell most of the assets of the money-losing business to EchoStar
Communications Corp. for $200 million in cash."

It's sad, but true. VOOM was just losing too much cash and not getting
enough subscribers. It certainly may be a great service, but great
things don't always last.
