Voom in need of improvement ?

How many think Voom should be either put into a Smaller cheaper stand alone package to help improve all the repeating content? Or just left alone?
Answer 1 Meaning do what ever it takes to make it better!
Answer 2 Meaning Just leave the programming the way it is for now,but make it a smaller package,to help with adding content.
Answer 3 Just do us all a favor and Just dump this crap,we've had enough of it.
Answer 4 OH, we love Voom just the way it is!

I just think it needs to be in a lower package ,combind into 3-5 channels for $3.99 per month. They can call it Dish HD Extra,and it would still be $1 less then D* extra pack,Plus with all the vooms combing into 5 instead of 15 ,it would give them more time to find content before the next repeat!.

Since Voom has so few customers (a niche of a niche of a niche market), maybe Echostar is trying to push Voom into bankruptcy by moving them to a more expensive package. That would end their contract and free up more space on the satellites for more mainstream channels.

The content is what the problem is. And Quite frankly I'd much rather watch TBS Upconverted,then Watch,The nothing thats on Voom anymore,just because a show I saw 12 times in 24 hours looks good in HD. If the content sucks HD doesn't make it better. If 20 Shopping channels were in HD ,I still would rather watch the Travel channel in SD,Then 20 HD channels showing no content . People do still want VOOM,we just need it Fixed!

The fastest way to fix your problem with Voom is to do what I did to TBS HD - block the Voom channels from your quide. Then it might be easier for to forget about them for a bit.

I did one better ,I dropped to HD Essential ,thinking I got rid of them ,but Guess what ,They are still there!

You've kind of made this your life's mission, Hemi.

DISH really can't drop VOOM. They wrote a nice contract when they bailed them out in order to get a jump on HD content. They are stuck with them for years to come.

The best we can hope for is that someone will invest in content.

If someone wants stretch of vision they can stretch the sd channel.

However, a channel that shows some HD (like SciFi-HD or Speed HD) then Voom would be worth replacing with them. Unless Voom comes up with some new programming. Right now Voom is just taking up bandwidth IMO.

I'd like to see Voom raise up some of the apparently "neglected" channels to the standards set by some of their better channels. Treasure HD has been a real eye-opener. Rush obviously has a lot going for it.

I wouldn't even mind if they added commercials to some of the channels to make some extra money. But don't interrupt the movies! Or the Rave concerts!

At least one never before seen on Voom movie per week on Monsters, Kung Fu, Film Fest and World Cinema. A few commercials between the movies are OK.

It could be a great service if it were done right. I would love to see it get better.

All the new stuff on Treasure, Gallery, Equator, Animania, Family Channel,Rush and now In the Basement on Rave I haven't seen a quarter of the new stuff that's there now.

However, Voom needs to finally give those Yuri shorts on Animania a rest. It would be great if they get back to featuring HD shorts that have won awards like maybe Pixar material even, between shows.

NatGeo, UnivHD, HD Theater, TNT, HDNet now there are some networks that are stuck in a rut with rotation.

Not sure what your issue is Hemi with Voom or maybe I'm jealous and I wish I had as much time to watch TV as you do. 15 channels all with real HD content and you've seen it all too much. You are to be applauded.

This is one lawsuit I expect Dish to win. All Dish has to do is let the judge watch Voom for one week and he will come back with a favorable verdict for Dish.

Voom needs to get it's act together. This use to be the hd stable for Dish. With all of the loops they run , it has become more of a liability.

Your joking right. Have you looked at the Voom channel guide today, How about last week,last month maybe,How about 3 months ago? Tell Me is "Brain Eaters", on Today? How about,Samuri Spy,The Lengend 2, I can keep going,Calle 54,Elvis Costello Live, Want more? how about the 2007 CFL Saskatchewan Roughriders game. Atvance your guide sometime, It does go past 4 hours. I think I know who the one guy is that thinks its perfect!
