Ultimate Tourist Scams

With all the pleasures that world travel brings, even the most seasoned globe-hoppers can find themselves used, abused, and taken for a ride in ways that can cost far more than money. Ultimate Tourist Scams, a new 13-part half-hour weekly series will take a global tour of the most notorious travel rip-offs and offer viewers practical advice from experts on how to steer clear of con artists. Covering territory as diverse as Kashmir, India and New York City the show is a wakeup call for travelers. Each episode of Ultimate Tourist Scams will highlight a different popular destination and the fraud most commonly plied there. The show uses re-enactments and dramatizations of actual crimes, as well as first-hand accounts from scam victims about their encounters with the globe’s finest match-stick men.

This original series follows the world’s leading contemporary artists, as they actively engage in the artistic process. Each episode is a film as unique and individual as the artists themselves. The films attempt to capture a moment in an artist’s career, allowing viewers to witness the moments of confusion and clarity, frustration and triumph that are an inherent part of the process. This new installment follows along with Lorna Simpson, a renowned artist and native New Yorker, as she prepares for a “comprehensive first mid-career survey” of her identity focused photographs and film installations at New York City’s Whitney Museum.

New concerts on DISH channel 9470
RAVE HD carries the U.S. high-definition premieres of the renowned concert series, Soundstage. Kicking off a new batch of concerts this month is Rob Thomas, widely known as one of the most distinctive vocalists and song writers in contemporary music. This one-hour concert features all of his hits, and was recorded live at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre, in Morrison, Colorado (Friday, June 1st at 9:00pm ET).
Other all-new Soundstage concerts this month include: Dashboard Confessional, recorded live at Madison Square Garden in New York City (Friday, June 8th at 9:00pm ET); and Jewel, performing with a chamber orchestra at the historic Rialto Theater in Tucson, Arizona (Friday June 15th at 9:00pm ET).

MotorSport Ranch is an original docu-competition series, which gives viewers an insider’s look at a country club where motoring enthusiasts can indulge their racing fantasies in head-to-head competition. MotorSport Ranch is not the typical sedate country club with a pool and golf course. Located south of Fort Worth, Texas, the Ranch’s eccentric and wealthy members meet, entertain, socialize, and race exotic dream cars. Each week, the show follows three different members as they outfit their customized cars and head to the track for a series of qualifying rounds. The 13-episode series culminates with the crowning of the “MotorSport Ranch Top Ten Champion.”

In this sci-fi thriller two technology wizards accidentally discover how to manipulate the space-time continuum. Trouble arises when they attempt to alter time to improve their financial and emotional futures. The film won the 2004 Sundance Film Festival's Grand Jury Prize for dramatic film.

In this thriller Eric Stoltz stars as safe-cracker who travels to France to participate in a bank robbery that goes horribly wrong.

Director Ted Demme's gritty story about the Irish gangs of Boston. The film stars Denis Leary, Billy Crudup and Martin Sheen.
Jerry and Tom (6/17)
In this crime comedy a hit man and his apprentice kidnap a man and wait for a call from the boss to shoot him. As time passes we learn of the circumstances that led the three men to this situation. The film stars Joe Mantegna, Sam Rockwell with appearances by William H. Macy and Ted Danson.

In this romantic comedy David Duchovny stars as a man who loses his wife in a car crash. A year later he meets a woman (Minnie Driver) and falls for her immediately. What he doesn't know is that Driver was the recipient of a heart transplant and that his wife was the donor.
Play It Again, Sam (6/23)
Woody Allen stars as a painfully shy film critic who upon divorcing his wife further immerses himself in film, until his friend's wife (Diane Keaton) tries to get him back into the dating scene.
