[VOOM] Background only, no voice-also split screen

I had this happen a couple times with Voom and it also happens with time
warner cable. Last week it was during Desperate Housewives.. a couple weeks
before that it happened during NYPD Blue. You only hear the background
track, you don't hear them talking. During Desperate Housewives, the screen
was split in two. With twc, I can watch the analog version but you know how
painful that is after being used to HD.

Is this a pbm with the local tv station or are these problems from the
source?

Anyone know?

[VOOM] Re: Background only, no voice-also split screen

Robert,
Concerning audio on Desperate Housewives we've noticed a number of
brief audio only dropouts during all (?) the programs. Noticed it
last night on The West Wing as well. So far haven't taken the time to
write the incidents down and try tracking them to a program, station
and/or VOOM STB. They are so brief that I've become "used" to them.
Would be nice to track them down though.

Still watching HDTV under mostly cloudy snowless Seattle skies, Gill

RE: [VOOM] Re: Background only, no voice-also split screen

The audio drop out's I'm referring to are as long as twenty minutes, not
seconds. I have a strong feeling it's my local abc station as that's the
only station it's happened on.
