Voom Adds More! (WealthTVHD, Fine Living, DIY,..)

It would give them another $2mil month in revenue - programming costs.

So we have 50,000 subs today (being generous here)
Don't know what percentage are without VaVa, but lets say it's half?

So 25k X $40 is 1mil not 2...in order to get 2mil, that would mean that EVERY sub has to upgrade, but a lot already have it.

And JL, anything they got from people upgrading today would never make it onto the books by next week.

That's 22 channels voom has added. Isn't it worth $1 a day to upgrade to va va voom. Support Voom
Hmmm, 40 days in a month now, eh? That would push my bill to $104 for Voom. IMHO, it's not worth the cost of the basick (spelled this way on purpose) package with the PQ where it is now.

We're looking at futures not the present. 3Q04 and 4Q04 were $5 million dollar quarters each, and with 25k/26k subscribers. Average revenue per customer $64 per month. (An average that includes the receiver sales / install fees charged to customers for service which was considerably higher in 3Q04 and the first half of 4Q04 than the $1 offer running now).

Get all 40k subscribers (Feb 28th number) on VaVaVoom for $90 per month minimum (more for leased receivers and mirror charges) and they could bring in $3.6 million a month or $10.8 in a quarter. Finish the installs that were mentioned by the 'anonymous source' and they would have 45k subscribers to start 2Q05 with. At the $64 average level per month that is $8.6 million dollars in revenue. But get that up to $90 (or more) and that is $12.15 million in revenue - which is only $2 million shy of last year's total revenue.

That is a lot of potential ... and it tells financers that there is a source of funds on the way to pay off the debts Voom HD LLC will be assuming.

1Q05 probably won't be too exciting ... My guess is that they won't break $6 million in revenue. But it is growth - and prove it on paper that future quarters will grow further and those finance people are more willing to loan you the money. After all, they only care about one thing - getting their money back with interest. That is what C & T Dolan have to convince them *will* happen.

Thank Lurker

Thanks for doing the math Just a Lurker. The extra millions could show creditors and potential financial backers that the Momentum is going Vooms way and the way of HD. They will jump on the bandwagon. Even Apple is trying to build an HD network. They could take notice of voom and join forces with the Good Dolans.

So all voomers not on Va va Voom upgrade Please

Dolan cares about us, it isn't just about money. Once you make $1 billion everything else is like pastry. Marginal. How many cars can you drive, how many homes can you live in, how many yachts can you sail. Marginal return. Dolan is working to create a legacy.

IS Cablevison going to be sold to finance VOOM?
