VIP722 Overheating - any way to fix

You can get away with just one hopper and one Joey. Use rf modulators and set one to channel 3 and one to channel 4.
Will still be about a $15 increase over what you pay now but often you can get them to give you a credit for two years.

He can buy 2 Wallys for next to nothing and his bill will drop.

What are rf modulators? If using one Joey and the channel 3 or channel 4, were would the Joey be stationed since I have 7 tv's in different rooms. (my understanding of the Joey, it has one remote and must be in the same room or does it have IR option like the Dish 20.1).

Where can I buy Wallys? Do Wallys work with the Dish Hopper? How is a Wally different from Joeys? I run 7 TV's in different rooms on my 722 with 69 running channel 1 and 60 running channel 2.
I'm new to this, What are Wallys, this is the first I heard of them?
If I purchase say Wallys or Joeys and I own them, will Dish still charge the same price?
Last Friday I was told by an agent at Dish, I qualify for a free upgrade to a Hopper and the 4 Joeys I needed would be free and my bill would not change. Saturday I called back and was told differently, the Hopper was free but they would deduct, I believe a rental charge for the 722 and add a $10 charge for the Hopper and add $28 for the Joeys raising my monthly bill $38 per month. I'm all mixed up as to what I can do or how to save money instead of increasing my service to an unaffordable bill in an already outrageous monthly price.
Anybody have any suggestions?

The Wally is GUI replacement for the ViP211 series. It has no hard drive built in but you can add an external hard drive. Wally has some streaming capabilities I think. If you already have a 211 with EHD the $40 you paid for the 211 will cover the one time $40 fee for the Wally EHD to be added.

The Wally is not directly compatible with a Hopper even the install must be adjusted. I believe the Wally uses a DPP lnb and the Hopper3 uses a Hybrid lnb - I could be wrong about the Wally lnb, surely someone will correct me. Hybrid allows the 16 simultaneous tuners that Hopper needs

The fee on the Hopper is $15, but is is a DVR fee. Rental for Joeys is $7. If you bought a second Hopper it would have a reduced fee

I just replaced a rented wireless Joey with a purchased wireless Joey 4 and was informed the monthly connection fee for a purchased unit is $5.

Rf modulator takes the rca output and converts it to coax. You would just put the Joey wherever all your splitters are. If it's all where the 722 is then you just put the Joey there. So instead of using the wjoke home distribution like on the hopper you'll run rca fro both receivers to the rf modulators. Set one to channel 3 and one to channel 4. Then the coax outputs will go to the outputs on a two splitter then from the input on the splitter you'll connect the cable that was once connected to the 722.
