VIP622 Complete Signal Loss, Diplexer or Receiver?

I figured I would post here before contacting Dish to see if anyone had any ideas. I was getting the "Complete Signal Loss" message when I would move my VIP622, but the signal would always come back. Last night, the signal went away completely. I checked the connections, and the cable connection running into the DPD2 was completely corroded. I don't know how it was getting a signal at all. I stripped the cable and tried reconnecting, but still nothing. I've tried to connect the cable directly into the separator bypassing the DPD2 (I'm not sure if that would work anyway), but I can't get any signal. Any ideas if the diplexer or receiver are toast?

How about a bad cable? If one end of the cable was corroded what does the other end look like. May be time to call DISH for a service call.

Routinely have to reset Hopper

Correct RG-6 cable for Hopper?
