Hello.

I currently have a dual tuner HD dvr receiver. (forgive me I do not even remember the model #).

When I purchased this receiver with a dish 500 pro I also bought a switch to run 2 signals over one line and split it in the house. I was told that this would never work because I have older cabel lines (this is true but I also forgot the number on the cable). But it does actuall work fine,

Now I want to purchase a vip622 and do the same thing. is it possible to work as well with these older lines?

I was also told that I need to buy a dish 1000.2
I am assuming I only need this dish and can remove the dish 500? Do i need to use a switch with the 1000.2?

Thanks for any help.... I tried to find a thread on this, but could not. If there are any can someone please paste it?

Thank you all.... Joe

If it works now, it will work with the new stuff.

You may be in the footprint of 129. If you are, then the 1000.2 is all the dish you need. Note that the gizmo that you call a "switch" is actually a "separator". You will continue to use the separator.

Remember that with the ViP622, your HD fee is going to go from $9.99 to $20.

My 622 keeps turning off

622 - how to tell if refurbished or new ??
