I just spent probably an hour on the phone after Pam recommended their Internet tech support. Of course the regular (tier 1?) tech support wouldn't do that until I did everything over again that Pam told me to do. No go. The receiver is on the net for a time, but mostly it give either error 789 (no broadband) or 145 (can't connect to server).
The regular tech support lady (nice, but firm) finally started doing what sounded in the background like a chat with their Internet support guru's (tier 3?) After a few more tests, they declared this a problem with Cox (my ISP) since all 3 receivers are doing the same thing. I seriously doubt that Cox is to blame, due to the fact that other equipment works fine. I am at my wit's end.
And navy, before you suggest a Hopper, what guarantee can I get that a new receiver will suddenly start working.
