VIP211k and Kingdome 9704-lp

I have a Kingdome 9704-lp on my motorhome and understand due to a change in March with the Dish signaling the 9704-lp no longer works.
I called Kingdome and told me I need a new card and programming. or for less money purchase a Kingdome VQ4500 at a discount.

So here is my question,
I understand that to use the new VQ4500 there is a process to update my VIP receiver to make it work with it.
But here is the rub.
I also want to use the VIP211k with my standard Dish 500 stationary antenna.
Once I update the VIP211k to work with the VQ4500 will it still work on my old dish 500 antenna?

The software in the 211 would remain exactly the same. You should have zero problems on the Dish side of things.
