I have been doing some searches and not found any recent threads regarding 211 audio problems. At one time it seemed that a lot of people were having issues.
For the past few weeks I have noticed an occasional problem that occurs while watching programs. The sound seems to decrease in volume and "fade" into the background. It doesn't seem to matter if it is an analog or DD5.1 audio program. If I turn up the volume on my audio receiver or just wait a while the sound will usually come back.
There also doesn't seem to be any rhime or reason when programs have analog or DD5.1 audio. While watching Heroes and Journeyman (OTA HD) on Monday both showed up as Dolby Pro Logic on my receiver instead of DD. Isn't all HD supposed to have DD audio? I have tried switching around the Dolby Digital settings in the menu with no help
Is anyone else having issues like these? Is it my 211 or audio receiver?
I use an optical cable to send the audio from my 211 to my Pioneer receiver and an HDMI cable directly to the tv for video.
