VIP 622 DVR failed possibly

Looks like my VIP622 will not power up completely.
When I press the power button it lights up the fan races for a few seconds then it just sits there for few mins then it starts to cycle off then on with fan racing then off again then repeats.
I took the Power plug out now for a couple hours and see if after a cool down It has the same condition.
Maybe this is my way out of being a long time Dish Customer. I only watch a couple channels anyway but paying for the 50 HD channels.
Anyway will see what it does.

I had that with one of my 622's, had a replacement in a couple of days or so... (have the protection plan)

Yep. Hard drive failure. It happens. Dish will replace, but if you need an excuse to leave, and you're not under contract, then you've got it.
