Guys, I am thinking of getting a couple of 221 or even a 222 receiver... The problem is, these are for the lake house, and I don't have a phone line there. Currently, my 311 recievers work fine there, but I wondered if these HAVE to be plugged in like my 622 at my daily house does... If I could do this, I would drop to the HD only package.

As far as the phone line if you do not have one you will just have to pay extra receiver fee for the 222 and for the 211 since it is only a single tuner it should have no fee. I assume since you do not have a phone line on this property you do not have internet but if you did that could be a alternative. Also if you purchase any PPV events after $50-100 limit you will have to connect to download those purchases. With out phone or online connection you will have to deal with the no phone line connection error mesage that appears on the screen.

+1
Only dual tuner receivers will incurr the no phone line fee. So...a VIP 211 is the receiver for you.
